Synchronous vacuum circuit breaker
Synchronous vacuum circuit breaker is an example of development of uncontrolled switching technology in vacuum for medium voltages. It is used to improve the quality of power supply distribution networks, to increase operational safety and prolong the lifetime of electric-power devices.
Synchronous vacuum circuit breaker (CBB) is designed for switching loads of any type (inductive – electric motors, transformers; capacitive – bank of capacitors, etc.) in power supply networks of 6 kV.
Structurally and functionally, circuit breaker is a single mechatronic module which consists of the following key structural assemblies:
- three-phase vacuum circuit breaker with phase-by-phase controlled electromagnetic drives which can be manufactured with magnetic catch or without it;
- integrated microprocessor control unit;
- feedback sensors on current and voltages.
Vacuum circuit breaker has 15 auxiliary contacts.
Functionally, circuit breaker carries out troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical systems and allows quality assessment of the switching process by signal oscillograms of feedback sensors. Automatic control system is equipped with the interface RS-485 ModBus.
Users of CBB are mining facilities, oil-transfer stations and petroleum refineries, metallurgical works and other industrial enterprises, general purpose power supply networks of 6 kV, etc.
Energy strength and insulation resistance of BB: insulation class “b” as per GOST 1516.3-96, length of leakage path is not less than 200 mm.
