Power transformers TC (RG) are manufactured using RESIN GLASS FIBER (RGF) technology which is based on electrical insulating system together with filling – reinforcing material on basis of electro-technical glass (composite material).
Power transformers TC (RG) are designed for operation in moderate climate on the height up to 1000 m above sea level, in well ventilated premises or on the open sites, cased in cabinets which provide protection against dust and reactive and explosive gases. Ambient temperature is +40°C (313 K), averaged operation temperature is up to +20°C (293 K). Installed in special cabinets and may work in mines and pits dangerous for gas and dust and on the surface as well.
Transformers, manufactured using RGF technology, allow “cold start” which is good for Siberian climate. Due to the high dielectric strength of composite material, these transformers stand switching and lightning overvoltage. This allows usage of fast-acting vacuum equipment and, as a result, decreases damaging effects from possible short circuits in the network.
Due to the high mechanical strength (mechanical strength of composite material is comparable with mechanical strength of steel Grade Ст3), transformers are resistant to dynamic forces caused by short circuits.
